The Canada Aviation & Space Museum has a spectacular collection of aircraft and artifacts from both civil and military service. The exhibition building was constructed in the 1990’s and additions were constructed in 2002 and 2010. The main exhibition building includes a visitors’ exhibition area, administrative offices, a gift shop, a conference center and a controlled environment artifact storage. The museum uses electricity and natural gas as energy sources.
Energy Efficiency Measures
Ventilation units optimisation;
Delta controls system commissioning in the main exhibition building’s;
Lighting modernisation in the exhibition building;
Condensing boilers operating optimisation;
Installation of new variable frequency drives.
The project has lead to 30% savings on the museum annual energy invoice.
